“In 2025, the company incurred a loss during the financial period. Full marketing and promotional activity for the online shop commenced later in the year, resulting in lower sales volumes during the early months of trading. Although the shop has not yet generated a surplus on a standalone basis, the trading activity forms an important part of the wider charitable objectives by raising charity's profile and generating valuable donations on orders. We are forecasting UEL activities to be profit making from 2029 onwards with overall business activities including donations (which are recorded in the parent charity) resulting in net surplus position from 2027. As such, the Directors consider there to be no material uncertainties about the ability of the company to continue as a going concern for the foreseeable future.”
