This decline was primarily driven by a reduction in visitor numbers of approximately 10,000, falling from 246k in June 2024 to 236k in June 2025. The decrease in visitors is largely attributable to the cost-of-living crisis, with discretionary spending under pressure and spa visits increasingly viewed as a luxury. Turnover was also impacted by the spa being closed for 12 days in January 2025 to allow for renovations, compared to a nine-day closure in the previous year.”
