• “Trading performance was impacted by a number of factors during the year. These included the time required to develop, implement and realise returns from new strategic initiatives, with several significant changes taking longer than anticipated and benefits therefore being delayed. In addition, trading was affected by the ongoing cost of living crisis, adverse weather conditions, a temporary reduction in insurance-related instructions, and a lower level of major project activity compared with the prior year.”
