- “BMS, the Company's co-promotion partner for Eliquis, was subject to litigation related to the validity of the Eliquis compound patent and its supplementary protection certificate (SPC). In 2022, the U.K. High Court issued a judgement finding invalid the patent and its SPC due to expire in 2026. In October 2023, the Supreme Court refused permission to appeal, and the invalidity judgement was final. As their co-promotion partner, Pfizer Inc. group (of which the Company is a part of) may be expected to incur a share of any potential costs associated with this matter. The estimated financial impact of all material litigation that meets provision recognition requirements has been provided in the financial statements.”
