Margins divide P&L lines by turnover. Gearing is liabilities over total assets. Current ratio is current assets over creditors falling due within one year. Interest cover is operating profit over absolute finance costs. Margin ratios are hidden where reported turnover is too small relative to profit to yield a meaningful figure — typical of holding companies whose income is mostly subsidiary dividends rather than trading revenue. “As of the reporting date, the Group's available cash, cash equivalents, and short-term deposits amount to £19.5 million (2024: £29.8 million). These funds primarily originate from equity raised through the Business Combination completed in April 2022, alongside related PIPE investment proceeds, upfront payments, and cash inflows from collaborations. Additional inflows include payments from the UK's R&D Tax Credit scheme, the latest of which was received in June 2025. Over the past twelve months the Group implemented significant cost reduction measures to extend its cash runway, most notably reducing headcount and ceasing internal drug asset development, as announced on 11 December 2024. The cash runway assessment also incorporates prudent assumptions around potential downside risks, including macroeconomic factors such as inflation and supply chain uncertainties. Given the reduced scale and scope of operations, the Group's exposure to these risks is now minimal. Following the strategic overhaul announced on 11 December 2024, the Group has focused on its core technologies, positioning itself as a technology provider and strategic partner in accelerating drug discovery and development. Business development efforts will target companies lacking advanced internal Al expertise or resources, specifically where clear product opportunities and unmet market needs have been identified. The Group is exploring future revenue streams to be generated primarily from a new Al-enabled decision intelligence platform. Additionally, the Group continues to actively pursue out-licensing opportunities for its significant proprietary drug development pipeline assets. Current cash reserves are sufficient to meet the Group's liabilities throughout the assessment period. The Board is confident that revenues from the decision intelligence platform will be forthcoming in the year ahead but recognises that other measures such as targeted cost reductions or supplementary funding may be required. Management will continue to closely monitor performance to proactively manage future funding requirements.”
