“At the date of this report, the directors have carried out a detailed and comprehensive review of the business and its future prospects which covers the 12 months period from the date of signing the financial statements. In particular, they have considered forecast performance and anticipated cash flows. The forecast has also considered a downside scenario in sales levels. At the balance sheet date, the group had a positive cash balance of £5.9m and no borrowings. In the opinion of the directors, the company has adequate resources to be able to continue to trade and consequently the financial statements are prepared on a going concern basis.”

- “The results for the year were impacted by a subdued Housing market affecting development and continued building safety act remediation spend. Rydon's property maintenance business continues to provide a high level of service and compliance to its clients. The Building Safety Act 2022, requires developers and contractors to take responsibility for addressing building safety-related defects that were previously signed off as compliant. The Group is a member of the Responsible Actors Scheme and a signatory to the developer remediation contract. Through this scheme Rydon has invested heavily in building safety liability costs with a spend of £31 million on remediation work.”
