Material uncertainty over going concern
In February 2025, the bp group publicly announced its intention to bring a partner into Lightsource bp, potentially altering the ownership structure of the Group and Company during the going concern assessment period. Whilst the Directors expect any incoming partner to continue to operate the Group and Company as a going concern, it is not possible for the Directors to confirm the intentions, plans or funding arrangements of any incoming partner should any such transaction complete. Therefore, whilst the Directors expect any incoming partner to continue to operate the Group and Company as a going concern, the potential change in ownership structure of the Group and Company, and any consequential changes that may arise from such change, creates a material uncertainty that may cast significant doubt on the ability of the Group and Company to continue as a going concern.
